Assign skills to jobs

POST /lexi/api/v1/skills/assign_to_jobs

This endpoint assigns each skill to the most relevant job in a supplied list.

Purpose

It quickly classifies a set of skills by job when both lists already exist.

Processing

  1. AI Hub receives the list of jobs and the list of skills.
  2. The LLM determines which job best matches each skill.
  3. It selects only from the supplied jobs.
  4. If no assignment is sufficiently reliable, it returns null.

Compatible OpenAI mini evaluates indexed assignments as native decisions, including an explicit unassigned option. Labels are reconstructed from the input. An empty target list returns null for every source. Unsupported model/provider configurations, or catalogues with more than 254 targets plus the unassigned option, keep the existing structured call with the complete catalogue.

Important behavior

The endpoint does not generate new skills or change labels. It only performs an assignment.
