Assign job families

POST /lexi/api/v1/jobs/assign_families

This endpoint classifies jobs into a list of job families supplied by Lexi.

Purpose

It is used when Lexi already has a list of allowed families and needs to place jobs automatically into the most relevant family.

Request from Lexi

{
  "job_families": ["Development", "Project management"],
  "jobs_to_classify": ["Full-stack developer", "Digital project manager"]
}

Processing

  1. AI Hub receives the list of allowed families.
  2. The LLM compares every job with this list.
  3. It selects only from the supplied families.
  4. If no family is sufficiently relevant, it returns null.

Compatible OpenAI mini evaluates indexed assignments as native decisions, including an explicit unassigned option. Labels are reconstructed from the input. An empty target list returns null for every source. Unsupported model/provider configurations, or catalogues with more than 254 targets plus the unassigned option, keep the existing structured call with the complete catalogue.

Response to Lexi

{
  "Full-stack developer": "Development",
  "Digital project manager": "Project management"
}

Important behavior

The endpoint does not create a new family. It only selects from the supplied list.

The generated lexi HTTP reference is the authoritative source for parameters, schemas, responses and examples.
